The panel noted the efforts towards adaptation and the efficiency of Fluidra’s Department of Finance through the various stages of preparation for the company’s emergence on the exchange. Fluidra began trading this past 31 October.
The panel members were: Juan E. Iranzo, General Director of the Institute of Economic Studies; Rafael Sarandeses, General Secretary of the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts; Santiago Fernández Valbuena, General Manager for Finance and Corporate Development at Telefónica; Luis Peregrina, the financial director of the Mediterranean region for the ABB Group; Enrique Dupuy de Lome, Chief Financial Officer of Iberia; Eduardo Fernández, Treasury manager at Endesa; Jose R. Colomina, General Manager of Michael Page and Page Personnel España; José Miguel de Andrés, President of Ernst & Young Spain; and Álvaro Ramírez, President of Sage España.
In its candidacy, Fluidra’s Department of Finance highlighted as important managerial factors, among others: the standardisation of financial information for the entire group, with adaptation to NIIF criteria; the analysis and management of acquisitions, with the aim that the return on the investment be no greater than five years and the establishment of an indebtedness policy, especially for acquisitions, with the objective that the ratio of Net financial debt to EBITDA be no greater than 2.5.
